Tranquil accommodation on the stunning Isle of Eigg

Eigg Organics is based on a traditional organically run croft situated in Cleadale at the northern end of the Isle of Eigg. Sue Hollands and Neil Robertson live and work on Eigg Organics.

Sustainability is key to our way of life here where we grow most of our vegetables and many varieties of fruit. Our eggs come from free range chickens; our meat from our free wandering flock of hardy rare breed Soay sheep.

We burn locally grown and processed wood to heat our house. Our water is also heated both by our wood burning stove and a solar water heater situated on a south facing roof.

Our water supply is from a spring and believed to be the purest on Eigg as reputed to be blessed by St Columba. Eigg Electric provides our electricity which is generated by a number of different renewables sources – wind, hydro and solar – and distributed via a grid to the whole island.

There are stunning views in all directions – over the Atlantic to the Isle of Rum, behind to dramatic basalt cliffs plus scenic beaches and waterfalls situated close by. To experience the scenery and landscape on and around Eigg Organics, have a look at our promotional video:

Please check for availability, the calendar is kept up to date.

At Eigg Organics, we offer the opportunity to share our way of life by staying in our bothy, sleeping up to four, or booking a pitch for your tent in a location with stunning views

We also offer croft tours covering what a croft is, what we do on Eigg Organics and the history of crofting on Eigg.
